An Evening with David Sedaris in Minneapolis
Sedaris has accomplished numerous achievements in his impressive career. The New Yorker regularly features his humor pieces. He is a bestselling author whom many know from MPR’s “This American Life.” His original radio pieces have earned him three Grammy nominations for Best Spoken Word Albums.
Collaborating with his sister, Sedaris has written six plays that have been produced at La Mama, Lincoln Center, and The Drama Department in New York City. “One Woman Shoe” received an Obie Award, and Dramatists Play Service published “The Book of Liz” in book form.
Additionally, the feature film adaptation of “C.O.G.” premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. The Hennepin Theatre Trust website describes him as such:
“The great skill with which he slices through cultural euphemisms and political correctness proves that Sedaris is a master of satire and one of today’s most observant writers addressing the human condition.”
