Cirque Du Soleil in Minneapolis is Inspired by Avatar Film
This is an exciting Cirque Du Soleil performance for everyone who loves James Cameron’s Avatar movie. Toruk – The First Flight captures the visual, imaginative essence of Avatar and its message about the interconnectedness of all living things.
Both Cirque Du Soleil and Avatar are visually stunning and thought-provoking on their own. Uniting them adds a unique depth and richness to each other not found elsewhere. Directors and Multimedia Innovators Michel Lemieux and Victor Pilon are known for their artistic integration to create unique theatrical worlds.
The story takes place in Pandora thousands of years before humans set foot on the planet. A natural catastrophe threatens the Tree of Souls, propelling three boys on the brink of adulthood to take upon a heroic journey to save it.
Cirque Du Soleil Toruk – The First Flight will run at the Target Center from September 28th to October 2nd. Tickets are $32 – $157. Show times range by day with multiple performances most days. The Target Center has parking ramps, but you can find $6 downtown Minneapolis parking at the Park and Shop ramps nearby. They are connected to the venue via skyway. The discounted parking is valid Monday – Saturday after 4 pm and all day Sundays.
