Dane Cook to perform at the State Theatre
Comedian Dane Cook will be performing at the State Theatre on Friday October 4th at 7:30 pm. In addition to being an accomplished standup comedian, Dane also has had major performance success in the cinema as well as television. Some of his more notable movies include “Good Luck Chuck”, Dan in Real Life”, “My Best Friends Girl” and “400 Days”. His television roles include playing a quarterback named Kyle on the ABC comedy “Maybe This Time” and the short lived NBC Comedy “Next Caller”.
Cook began performing standup comedy in 1994 at clubs in New York City. He later moved to Los Angeles where he still lives today. His first big break came 1998 when he appeared on Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend. In 2006 he won the Teen Choice award for Best Comedian.
Danes comedic style can best be characterized as story telling with a high energy edge.
