Epic Moody Blues Tour in Minneapolis
Not only are we celebrating the band that pioneered progressive rock, we’re also honoring the very album that became one of the first successful concept albums in rock and roll history. The Moody Blues entered the music scene playing solid rhythm and blues with their first album in 1965. In 1967, it was there mere second album, Days of Future Passed, that broke the mold and changed music forever. Five decades later, The Moody Blues are on the Days of Future Passed 50th Anniversary Tour, and it’s headed to Minneapolis.
The concept album fuses rock and classical music. The songs tell the story of a day that starts at dawn and ends at night. You’ll recognize “Dawn is a Feeling,” “Tuesday Afternoon,” “Nights in White Satin,” and many other legendary pieces from the album during the first set at the concert.
Your chance to witness this significant contribution to Western culture live is at the Orpheum on Tuesday (not afternoon), June 27th at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $74.50 – $154.50. Near the Orpheum are two Park and Shop ramps that offer $6 parking after 4 pm (all day on Sundays). They’re a very close walk to the venue and other downtown hotspots.
