Get Nostalgic with Kris Kristofferson
This Country Music Hall-of-Famer is affiliated with some of the most iconic songs and musicians of the twentieth century. From songwriting to singing to acting, Kris Kristofferson is a timeless icon in music and film, and he is coming to Minneapolis in January.
Of the most popular songs he’s written and recorded are: “Me and Bobby McGee”, “For the Good Times”, “Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down” and “Help Me Make It Through the Night”. He starred in Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore, and A Star is Born, winning a Golden Globe Award for best actor in the latter.
If you can be judged by the company you keep, however, there is no more to say about the man than that he formed a music supergroup – The Highway Men – with revered artists Willy Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and Johnny Cash. Even if you’re not a fan of country music, there’s no denying the impressive combination of talents in that band.
You can enjoy an evening of Kris’ music at the Pantages Theatre in downtown Minneapolis on Saturday, January 14th, 2017. Concert starts at 8, and the tickets are $53.50 to $63.50. Near the venue are parking ramps that only charge $6 after 4 pm on Saturdays. These Park and Shop ramps also offer the discount Monday through Friday and all day Sundays.
