Jim Jeffries Returns to Minneapolis!

Posted on 14th April, by ParkandShop

One of the most sought after comedians today, Jim Jeffries gained notoriety in 2007 after a heckler attacked him onstage at the Manchester Comedy Store. The incident got him two encores that night and a black eye. Two years later, he had an HBO special “I Swear to God,” and he’s been hot to trot ever since.

The Australian stand-up comedian has made numerous appearances on television and radio. His material often includes alcoholism, recreational drug use, sex, celebrities, gun control, and current events. He and friend Eddie Ifft ran a podcast together; Jeffries had to leave the podcast in 2012 because of his filming schedule. Ifft still runs the podcast today. In 2013, Jeffries’ show Legit premiered on FX and ran for two seasons, the second on FXX.

Other comedy specials from Jeffries include “Alcoholocaust” and “Fully Functional.” His “Freedumb” tour hit Minneapolis in 2014, and he brought his “Unusual Punishment” to the Orpheum Theatre in 2017. The “Night Talker” tour will also be at the Orpheum on Saturday, May 18th. The show is at 8 pm; tickets are $49.50 – $59.50. Downtown parking is only $6 at two Park and Shop ramps near the venue. The discount is valid after 4 pm Monday – Saturday and all day Sundays.
