Cry-Cry-Cry_web-592x432To anyone who heard Cry Cry Cry promise at the June Hudson River Clearwater Festival that the trio would start a tour in fall, good news: they’ve delivered. If you’re in Minneapolis, it’s finally your turn to see them live again.

Last summer’s festival was the first time this folk supergroup had performed together in 18 years. The trio had great success with their collaborative album in 1998. They had an extensive tour in 1999, and then didn’t play live again until Clearwater.

The Hennepin Theatre Trust website says this about their careers:

“The group made its mark uncovering hidden gems, bringing attention to fellow songwriters, and continues that process with these new arrangements of songs composed since 2000.”

Fans can expect songs from their eponymous debut album, new-to-the-band songs, and also some favorites from their individual albums. If you like folk music, this may be a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see such a special collaboration live again.

They’ll be at the Pantages Theatre Friday, March 16 at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $45 – $55. The Park and Shop ramps right by the venue only charge $6 after 4 pm.
