The Band’s Visit Minneapolis, MN – Orpheum Theatre
The Band’s Visit is a musical composed by David Yazbek based on the 2007 film of the same name. It follows the story of the Alexandria Ceremonial Police Orchestra, composed of eight Egyptian musicians who accidentally arrive in a small town in Israel’s Negev Desert. As they find themselves in a foreign place with no transportation or hotels, they learn to overcome ethnic barriers to get by. The musical premiered in 2016 and won the 2017 Obie Award for Musical Theatre and the New York Drama Critics’ Circle award for Best Musical.

If you plan on attending The Bands Visit, consider using the Park and Shop Ramps for convenient, safe and inexpensive parking ($6.00 if you arrive after 4:00 PM or any time on Sunday.
Orpheum parking is just around the corner if you use Park and Shop Ramp or the LaSalle Court Ramp. Park and Shop is just 1 and 1/2 blocks north to 8th Street then 1/2 block east. The LaSalle Court Ramp is just 1 block east on 9th Street and 1/4 block north on LaSalle. You can take the skyway from LaSalle Court Ramp and need to walk less that 1/2 block outside to get to the Orpheum.
