Try Guys Bring it to Downtown Minneapolis
In yet another example of YouTube-induced fame inspires road show, The Try Guys have taken to the stage in a 20-city tour Legends of the Internet. Not quite sure who they are? Surely you’ve seen them. Some history from James Loke Hale’s “The Try Guys Drop Podcast ‘The TryPod,’ Announce 20-City ‘Legends Of The Internet’ Tour” article on TubeFilter:
“For those who aren’t familiar, Fulmer, Habersberger, Kornfeld, and Yang got their start at BuzzFeed, where they swiftly gained a following for being willing to try things like spending a day in high heels, going into labor, and eating Trump restaurant food. In June 2018, they split from BuzzFeed to launch their own production company, 2nd Try LLC, and their own independent YouTube channel, which has since brought in 5.8 million subscribers and nearly 550 million views.”
Wondering how this translates into a live show? The cast told TubeFilter it’s “a unique interactive experience that differs from show to show.” This unfiltered and unedited presentation of what the Try Guys do is described on the Hennepin Theatre Trust website as “All the hilarious viral content you love transforms into an unprecedented performance where each city will experience a completely unique, interactive show.”
See for yourself on Wednesday, June 26 at 7:30 pm at the State Theatre. Tickets are $37.50 – $87.50. A short walk from the venue are two park and Shop ramps that only cost $6 after 4 pm.
